Could anyone tell me how hard it would be to convert a 47re 4wd to a 2wd? Is it just the rear housing that needs changed or would I need to pull the tranny to replace the output shaft? I am wanting to do a devoriced np205 conversion, and plan on useing a posi lok set up for the front end.

 

all you need is the output shaft and housing to put the rest of your guts in. and it can be done with the tranny in the truck. if you don't know what your doing it can hurt you though as there is an 800 lb spring and 2 special tools needed to tear it apart AFTER it is off the truck. if you have a reputable shop neer you they should do it for a small amount of folding money.
