47re 1st to 2nd hiccup

I've got a 96 2500 that drives great other than this issue. If starting from a stop, when the truck shifts from 1st to 2nd I get a hiccup. Like it starts to shift to 2nd then doesn't, then goes ahead and shifts. It does it quite fast. If I just really ease into it then when it shifts there is no hiccup. Also, if I'm trying to get on it a little, or a lot, it will have much more drastic hiccup. Really more like a slip between 1st and 2nd. When it grabs it really grabs and goes. What do ya'll think it could be? Anything I can do do determine the cause without a disassembly? Oh, the tranny was rebuilt about 9000miles ago. Ken.

If you're lucky enough to have it under a warranty still, or even if not, I'd call the shop that rebuilt it. Kinda sounds like something sticking in the VB, or a servo hanging up? I'm no expert. If you are out of warranty, adjust the bands, and put a new filter and some quality fluid in it and see what happens. 9k miles sounds like enough to have some break in debris in there.

I talked to a few other folks who said basically the same thing. I'll take it by the shop in the next day or so. Thanks for the reply bud.
