4-Low Works, But no 4-Hi

Alright, I've been battling issues with 4-wheel drive, and yes being a newbie to posting, although i've been a member for awhile, i i have used the search function, and can't seem to find my answer. So can someone point me in the right direction....

My 4-low works fine, but no matter what i do, it will not go into 4-hi...I'm puzzled, then again i never had to really deal with 4x4, it's always been the other small engine things...So can someone help me....

BTW....Thanks in advance!

Ok, so i investigated it even more tonight. Like i mentioned above it locks in 4-lo but no 4-hi, but when you try to put it in 4-Hi, the front shaft is spinning to the axle, but it's not engauging from within the front axle. It's acting like it's trying to spin the front wheels, but it just won't....Any suggestions?

Sounds like an issue with the vacuum control switch on the transfer case. You're getting vacuum to the front end when in 4Low, but in 4Hi you're not engaging the front end.
