3K GSK love it, now need to lower EGTS

i got my 3 gsk in finally and i love it, i can hit over 30 psi and it helps alot in getting up to speed pullin loads. Now my egt's were already a little high before then and now i can hit 1600* easily, im tight on cash also, any suggestions on help lowering egt's?

Low on cash? You can lower egts for free by NOT MASHING THE FOOTFEED SO FAR TOWARD THE FLOOR. Hope this helps

stock turbo basically means heat with just a 0 plate .. you need to get more and/or colder air in there. Thats where a bigger turbo steps in. It will give you more dense air per pound of boost then a stock turbo will. This means you have the potential to have less smoke and egts while gaining hp

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, he is "tight on cash" and you both state the obvious. Has Obama started a welfare turbo disribution along with all the rest of his programs?

He would buy him one except his truck is too old and now considered to be a clunker you know anything 8 or more years old at least that's what the idiots are pushing for

If you are at 30 psi, you could squeeze a bit more boost out of it yet. Pull your plate back a bit if you like. Both of those are just band aids though, until you get your turbo money.

Get your timing bumped to around 15°
Keep your rpm below 2,500

Tate is on a good path with boost.
Is it possible you have a boost leak?

I had my wastegate completely blocked and it would make 35-38 psi WOT on the highway. Dont go over 38 psi on a stock turbo because you wont get more power out of it and you are pushing your head gasket as well. I also kept my rpms below 2250. Timing would help a little, 16.5 is what i run for now.

Pump timing

I noticed my egts dropped at least 200 degrees when I bumbped the timing up to about 15.5 degrees.
