Got some 370's for Christmas (thanks Mom & Dad) and I am wondering if it will be safe to put these in with a 180 pump. I've read that 191DV's maybe needed, but I have no extra money to spend now. I don't want to put in and have problems, so I need some input from you guys.

 

The 370's will work with the 180 pump ..... however .... for some reason in some engines .... you can get a bit of a stumble around 1100-1200 rpm ... doesn't happen in all. You should have 181 del valves in that pump. Best I can tell you is put them in .... and if you experience a stumble ... then put the 191's in ..... <br><br>Keith

180 pump has 181's, 191's is a kick in the pants, 40 CC's worth or 40 HP.<br><br>Jim

With a #4 plate .050 back from stock, 191's and 370's with a stock 35 with a 16 housing I could go from 600-1500 in 3 seconds....does that answer your question.<br><br>Jim

 

Hey Jim- How many seconds does it take to go from 600 to 1500 now that you have compound turbos?

 

If I'm in real bad air I can get to 1500 by the time it's out of gear but most of the time 1300-1400 is max. H.P is at 440 as of today on a dynojet...I thought it would at least get 450...sick *** pump.<br><br>Jim

 

Sorry about having to put that sensored comment in there, I was a little more than displeased with the dyno run but it was just too quick of a run, 1700-3200 RPM/ OD locked in 3 seconds is quick for me. I need to get the pump to a stand and get all the qwerks out of it and get it turned up, I already know there is an issue there.<br><br>Jim

So Jim, I guess you'll be the guy running around town with the hood off now to get some &quot;good&quot; air.<br><br>If the air here at 1300 ft is at 29.65 baro and humidity is a 60% that is bad air to me, but it is at 30.15 and 30% that is good air and you can see the difference on the EGT guage, I would never pull my hood off except to paint it.. ;D<br><br>J.R. it went up as fast as the turbo's spool, you wouldn't believe it, I called today and the price list is in work. I got to watch a video of the pulls, all the smoke is gone at boost.<br><br>Jim
