2" leveling kit
2" leveling kit
I installed the leveling kit yesterday. Took truck down to check alignment and shop said I need a new track rod (bar?). Does Napa sell a good replacment track rod/bar?? And does a stablilizer shock help the steering??
Do some searching and reading on track bars. Their are many differant opinions here about the best fix (dt track bar, lukes links, 3rd gen conversion, lifetime trackbar and change when necc.).
The stabilizer is the same story (some say yes and some say no).
I have not had to bad of luck running a rancho stabilizer and lifetime track bars (like napa or??).
good luck

Stabilizer shock doesn't help the steering, it masks problems in the front end. The real purpose of the steering stabilizer in to keep from jerking the wheel out of your hands if you hit a rock or something with one side.
As far as the track bar, Thuren has a nice stock replacement bar that's cheaper than just about anything except an OEM replacement. I've been running a similar Thuren bar for almost a year with no problems. Can't go wrong with DT either, but it a little more $$.
