The original ('94-'97?) brass / copper radiators where great. Then they went to aluminum ones which are okay.

Check out the radiator on Geno's garage. A user on "another forum" who does some fairly heavy towing (11,000 # travel trailer with a '96 or '97 3500 and he used to do hotshot hauling) uses that one. It's made by GPD - he says it's done well for him (see review on Geno's).

I never heard of Cold Case until now. I don't think they offer a unit for our trucks - the earliest year I could find on their site for Dodge Cummins is '03. Digging into the details of that unit shows it's made in China. It seems like an awful lot of aftermarket rads are made there, but the fit/quality seems pretty variable from what I read

You're right - I searched a different way on the Cold Case sight than I did previously, and one does come up for 94'-98 when I search the second way.

Since Cold Case gives tube width and fin count, maybe you can find specs on the GPD unit (GPD #1553C) and compare specs. I wonder what the heat rejection numbers are between the two units.

ya see thats where it seems to get sticky, your rite would be nice to know these things but in some cases its hard enough just to get the actual measurements of them. if cold case wasnt so pricey i may go with them
