I changed the oil last night, had to take the air inlet pipe, so I also removed the silencer ring. This morning, I noticed I was idling at 1100 RPMs...is it just coincidence I took the silencer ring out last night? IIRC, idle should be around 700 rpms, any idea what migh have changed mine?

 

Not sure what would have caused it, but taking the silencer ring out shouldn't have any impact on idle speed. Check everything for any binding, and if you don't find anything I would just adjust it back down and see what happens.

 

Check your return springs should be 2
