00-02 D60 and AAM Hub Conversion Group Buy??

I keep reading that Dynatrac is comming out with a hub conversion for the AAM axles. I also heard that this same conversion will be compatible with the 00-02 D60 axles as they use the same outer and inner knuckle, spindles, and stub shafts. Can anyone confirm that this kit for the AAM will also work with the 00-02 D60?

Does anyone have any more info on this? Has the kit been released yet? Price?

Also, does anyone have a link to the group buy that I keep hearing about?

Thanks

Dynatrac has been selling the 2nd gen kit for a few years now.....The 3rd gen AAM full float hub/bearing conversion kit has not been released yet - to my knowledge.

The two kits would not be interchangable......The ball joints on the AAM are different than the 2nd gen D60 so the new knuckle would not be interchangable......the inner axle shafts are also a different size and spline....

We don't do group buys here at DTR, too much chance for someone to get burned and lay the blame on DTR.

As to the conversion, the only one I know of is big bucks, in the neighborhood of $2,500,
and you lose the anti lock brakes.

Uhh wrong...the 00-02 2nd Gen D60 uses the same inner C and outer knuckles, spindles, stubby shafts, ball joints etc as the 3rd Gen AAM. In 00-02 the D60 got 32 spline inners. I called Dynatrack and the are In fact testing the new hub conversion kit on an 01 truck provided by Pertersons 4wd mag. It's in their shop right now. So this new kit to be release around mid to late summer will fit the 00-02 D60 and 3rd gen AAM axles.

Yes, they do have a 2nd gen kit which is for the pre 00 trucks. This kit will not work on 00+ trucks due to the knuckle change.

I asked about pricing on this new Dynatrac kit. He said the kit will be available in 3 stages just like the current one for pre 00 D60s. As for what each stage includes, they should be comparable to the existing hub conversion kit stages. Check their site for what each stage includes. He didn't have exact pricing but he seemed to think a stage 1 kit would be about $1200ish and go up from there as you go to stage 2 and 3. I'm pretty sure it's compatible with anti-lock brakes and eliminates the crappy unibearing setup. Stage 1 includes Warn premium hubs. Of course the CAD will also be eliminated.
