The killer dowel pin and theese bolts are located under the black timming cover on the front of the engine. The dowel pin actually holds the whole timing case in position but the dowel can come loose and get into the gears and usually takes out the timming cover, this is why its called the killer dowel pin. The bolts are the ones that hold the timming case to the block. They can destroy the case too.
