Are these things proven? I think the heater element might even help reduce turbulence in the airflow after the sharp bend into the intake. I'd like to see dyno graphs if they are available.

There is zero difference or HP gains by deleting the heater grids on any of the Cummins motors.I have seen all three motors dyno with and without them and no perofrmance gains have been had on a dyno. That being said I will offer a comment here on the intercoolers..Not all intercoolers are made alike and there is a significant difference when a flow test is run on them....Andy

unless your running a straight up race truck without an intercooler, this is probably a waste of your money imho...

if you really wanted it, couldnt you gut your existing grid heater block??? rather than pay someone for a square ring.

Don't think the extra turbulence from the grid heater affects anything... From anybody who has had the manifolds off..... the airflow in the head creates plenty of turbulence all on its own! will get your finders stuck in the intake runners if your not careful!

The item looks goofy to me. I would not want something like that on my engine. Kids might like it though. And for $70 it looks like a very expensive piece of unneeded aluminum.
