I am going back a couple of years but I bought a upgrade for my GPS and it cost me $142.00 bucks. Don't forget that our dollar has really taken a hit lately so it might be better if you had it done here in Canada. Don't know what dealers charge here.

I was just on the site yesterday looking for a map upgrade for my 2011. You have to enter a 10 diget code from the vehicles radio display screen to make sure you get the correct update. Here is a link to the site Chrysler Group | Ram Truck 2500/3500 | 2011 | RHB | CHRYSLER GROUP - 2015 NORTH AMERICAN MAP FOR UCONNNECT® 430N (RHB MY2011) | HERE

Why would you go for that one when you can get an upgrade for less than 150?

The 2013 with GPS ready does not work until the activation code is purchased. This code is what cost $595.00. As it stands i do not have GPS working.

I must be pretty stupid as I still don't get it. If you have a Nav system in your truck and it was a factory install then you should be able to get an upgrade.

I went on that site where it says $595.00 and am wondering if this is a actual Dodge registered site or an independent.

The truck comes from factory with GPS ready, that means the maps and antenna are installed, the activation key costs $650.00 from dealer. Not quite sure why so much if the maps are already installed.

As above. it says Nav ready It requires activation from your friendly Ram dealer for the sum of $550-$650 or so. My understanding is that is the only way it can be activated. Mine came Ready but thru a dealer error they owed me and had it activated as part of my deal. Quite sure it costs the dealership at least $450 to get activation code. When activated current update for maps is installed, so they say. After that it is $145 or so to have the annual up date installed.

Hey guys, I found a place that will activate your navigation for $499.99. I did it through them a couple weeks ago. Just fill out the form on their web page. You'll need to have your vin. # and the Nav activation request code. They have instructions for where to find it on your unit. I filled out the form and purchased it in the morning before work and by 10:30 am I had received the activation code back from them. I went out at lunch time and entered it, and was setup and running. Here is a link to their we page.NavRepair | Quality Factory Automobile Navigation Radio Solutions
