First I'd check the wires in the door jam. I haven't seen front door wires breaking, but it's possible. Pull the wire loom back and have a look.

After that, I'd pull the window switch out and check it with a meter, make sure it hasn't failed. You should (I think) be able to rob a switch from the back door that works and swap it to see if it works.

I'm assuming you've already played with the window lock button on the driver side?

Yup, roger on the "played with the window button". Thanx for info on swapping the switches.....I'll give that a try along with checking the wire loom coming through the door post.
