Question about Dr performance preditor 2013

I just recieved mine in the mail. I was wondering from the guys that have these, what do you do with the yellow wire. I know it is suposed to go to a switch but what do you do with the other side of the switch. Does it go to ground or power. Thanks, Joe

I didn't connect mine to anything. what kind of switch are you using? Does this turn the module on and off?

I think the module he has is adjustable. On some modules you can select settings like tow/performance/off, ect.

From the sounds of it you have the same box I have, you connect it next to the rail and it's not adjustable.

JOESHTRDDSL- Sorry, I don't have any useful info for you. Im sure someone else will chime in.

I love it to death. It's the non adjustable module, it just plugs in and gives me an extra 80HP. It is a great box to stack with. Running the Dr.P and my Smarty JR is a good combo. I don't ever have any codes thrown, the box is 5 years old and it's nothing short of great.

I think it helps with my top end as well. Just running the box I have by it's self is ok, but it's not the greatest. I definitely think it is one of the better modules to stack with. All in all, I would never get rid of it.

As far as the yellow wire if you ground it cuts the power back to stock. You can wire it to a simple on-off switch and ground the other side of the switch so you can turn off the extra power when towing or whatever. Hopefully that makes since.

Does anyone know what the other wire is for? I am getting ready to hook the yellow wire to a switch to turn it off and was curious what the other one is for.

I just bought this one from member francis
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...t/23169/cat/12
Its the 2014 model that had a switch added.
He told me the yellow goes to the switch and the other end goes to ground.
I dont quite know how it does it but he said it gives it three settings off/tow/kill

the yellow wire is to connect to a toggle switch, then the ground, it works as a on/off switch
or you can buy the triple play switch from dr.p and do the same thing do have an off, high, and medium power settings
