Ok, this is what's going on. I have a 1998.5 24v. I've lost my speedometer months ago, now my tachometer comes in and out, truck runs like crap, no boost, cuts in and out. I have 100hp injectors, smarty touch but have only had partial connection to the ecm from day 1. New pcm. New duel filter. Air filter cleaned and oiled. Any ideas!

No check engine light or anything on the cluster. Had it down to Beans diesel months ago and they couldn't connect to the ecm. They said my ecm was partially burnt. Just ordered an ecul the cppd. But will the ecm cause all the symptoms?

Sorry to hear about the problems with your truck.
To answer your question,.....YES,.....the ECM in those trucks can and will cause the problems you described! "Beans Diesel" is giving you good information.
Another suggestion I have for you is to check every single ground on the truck!
They get corroded and loose and can also cause a bunch of problems. I had issues with some of them on my 2002 Dodge CTD 24 valve truck.

Ok. I'll go threw the truck grounds while I'm waiting for the new ecm. What's strange is the smarty shows no fluctuations at all in engine rpm only on the cluster. Was also thinking the map sensor went but don't know if that would cause the engine and cluster to do what it's doing. Didn't pull the map but cleaned the terminal. Didn't change anything but one thing going I did notice is when the truck is cold it has full boost and tach works fine but 5 minutes down the road as it warms I lose everything.

I would definitely start with that ECM, then check all those grounds. After that, run the truck for a couple of days and see how it does. If you are still having issues THEN check that MAP Sensor.
