Replaced tps ,,been shifting fine ( 6 mths ago) . Hooked up volt meter,,,the readings are all "BACKWARDS" ,5V @ idle postion & 1.2 @ wot????. If I didn't esplain this very well,,, it's cause I'm flusterated AHHHHHHHH. How do you get a reverse reading.?Key on, 5v on purple wire( check).
with wire harness pluged to tps, ( voltmeter) - neg to tan wire & + to orng. wire should be getting 1.2 (+or -) NOT!!! It's totally backwards,,What say ya'll. Sorry ,,,,motor not running during test.

I noticed when I set mine to be the EXACT readings the instructions said to be the 3>4 shift was too early and affected the whole power range. I ended up adjusting the setting (by turning the 10mm nut under the TPS) to make it do the 3>4 the way I wanted it to. I took those instructions as a guide, but not the ONLY way to set it.

Stock wiring,
Black/light blue tracer = Ground
Orange = wiper or output
violet/white tracer = +5 V
The violet tends to fade, and might be what you think is tan. In that case, you're measuring from +5v instead of ground.
