Lets see some 1st gen gauges/gauge pod setups!
I think many members, including myself are very curious as to what some folks are running for gauges & pods in their rigs. Lets see some examples!

RBRETTCTD,
Nice setup! Thanks for posting a pic......it's nice to gather ideas. Where did you purchase your dual A pillar pod and steering column pod?

Pillar pod came from piers. Column mount came from a local diesel shop, its for a 94-98, but is a direct fit. Both can be bought from summitracing as well. The white gauges came from here http://whitegauges.net/whitegauges_r...roductsID=5500. You can get them in all sorts of color combos. Real easy to do, just use heat gun and a credit card to get bubbles out. Are those LED's BC847? I am about to do that after I get w/m. Gonna have an LED for anything I can think of lol.

No LEDs unfortunately.
Myself and a few others have tried LEDs but the problem encountered is the truck's electronics don't get along with them.
If you understand Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), you also know they are basically Diodes. Diodes being to electricity, as a check-valve is to hydraulics.
OK, fine.
The standard incandescent light bulb used in our trucks are bi-directional when it comes to the flow of electric power.
OK, fine.
That little printed circuit board found behind the Information Center that is tied in with a bunch of other circuits of the truck, apparently depends on current being able to flow both ways through a number of those indicator bulbs. Again the incandescent bulbs don't care.
When we try to use LEDs (one-way check-valves), they interfere with the electronics of the truck. Some of the LEDs work as they should, the others . .. um, .. . . . not so much.
Clear as mud?

If the picture will post, here is my setup before i went to Cummins power. If no pic I am working with a local company on a guage panel that fits stock location but house 3-6 more guages. So, the pics won't load. if you would like to see them I can email them.
