The bracket from that '98 express van is really sweet, it pushes the unit away from the firewall just enough so that the stock GM pushrod will work. I might have to find me one to have as an option for the future. Thanks for the information!
its just a sight glass as far as I can tell. and yes it prefect as far as the length but it will have to be bushed to fit the existing pedal bolt

That's what it looks like to me. maybe to check for air in the system.
I like the idea of a bronze bushing anyway. that is how I made mine.
The swap takes a bid of fiddling but is worth it.
