94 12valve sometimes wont start
Hello,
I recently purchased my second cummins A 94 RCLB 12 valve 2wd 5 speed.
Runs great.
Engine coolant gauge in dash wasn't working so i decided ti have a look. unplugged the sensor on left side of engine and replugged it in. After doing so the truck would not start (just crank) and the key would be locked in the ignition. Unable to turn off and unble to remove
I jiggled the wires back there again and it would start right up. Now it is back to just cranking and key being locked in ignition. Its as if something is unplugged back there or something. Like if i jiggle the wires just right everything works perfectly.
Any ideas where to start or what to check? I'm not a mechanic but do have tools and do all maintenance on my vehicles myself. Ive searched this topic to no avail.
any input is appreciated.

Well there is no electrical lock on the ignition switch, either the switch is getting hung up, or it used to be an automatic and the old mechanical interlock from the gear selector is getting stuck. I don't believe the manual trucks had any such key lock.
For cranking, need to see if the pull circuit on the solenoid is getting 12 volts while cranking. One wire is ground, one is "hold" (key on) and other is 12 volts only while cranking to pull the solenoid up.
