47RH parts help

My transmission build is being held up by 1 small part. There is a retaining washer that holds the valve in place in the governor. It is approx 1.130 OD x .667 ID x .020 thick made out of hardened steel. Mine is broke in 2 and the transmission re builder can't find a replacement. Anyone know where I can get one ASAP?

Cougar, I can't decide which part it is from the parts manual, it isn't # 13 below is it? If so, it is listed for the 8L V10 only.

Yes, #13. I wouldn't be surprised if the previous overhaul shop put the wrong governor in it.

Say, didn't you say your problem was it wouldn't shift?

If so, check out the weights.............. That might be the whole problem, I don't know if the kit is still available thru Chrysler. See below.

None of the parts show as being made anymore.

Did find this, looks like the diesel governor from a A518 is the same, so you might have better luck finding one from a first gen spare trans........
Check out this thread.

Turns out it is a V10 trans. I seriously want to hurt someone. The guy that's putting back together is going to replace all the necessary parts.

That's crazy! I assume your rebuilder know about Sonnax and Transtar as parts sources, but just in case...
