These are the lugs for installing 2nd generation rims on 1st gen trucks. I dont know about the cast rims, but the steel rims do fit. The rims are close on the clearance and the setback is different, but they do fit. Ive had mine on for close to 40k pulling heavy loads with no ill effects. The part number from the MOPAR dealer is, (6034834 NUT .750 22005024). Without these I dont know how you would make the center cap with the Ram stay on or fit.

Good tip indeed! I changed all my studs to 9/16 to use the caps.

I replaced all of my 1/2" wheel studs with 9/16" studs as well. I've had the 2nd generation chromed steel wheels on mine for about seven years. I recently got some of the OEM polished aluminum wheels off of a 2nd generation and although they fit great on the rear, they hit the brake caliper and tie-rod end on the front. I was curious how you are running them.

2" solid steel or aluminum spacers. You can buy them for about $150 for a pair. I would put them all the way around to get the offset correct.

Ouchy!! Your rims look real nice, but $300 would go quite a ways toward new rims that have the correct offset. New rims from a shop wouldn't have the Ram centers though. I called the dealer for the price of the lugs I listed and their gettin $2.85 each, (list for $5.85). The 2nd generation lugs (9/16) were like $8.50 each (how, i dont know). Their robbing us either way, but they do smile when taking your money, as you limp away.

A little pricey, yep. Same look, nope. Studs were bought at Napa and/or Carquest for $2 each. I bought the rims with caps and lugs used for $275. I used a 4" holesaw to cut the center for the lockouts. I like the bigger studs to match the higher load capacity of the tires and rims (3500 lbs I think). Half inchers look wimpy.

If you don't want to go to the dealer for the nuts and don't want to change to the 9/16 stud NAPA part number 6411549 is for the 1/2 stud that is a direct replacement for the Dodge part number above. I paid $1.25 each for them.

Anyone have the part numbers for the 9/16" studs to convert it over from 1/2"? Maybe I missed in the thread somewhere.

We're just stuck with what we got. Or are we? I have considered changing my front spindles to SRW (if that's even possible), then getting the 2ndGen spacers for the dually wheels. This way, I can have all my wheels match (I have a 99 Dana80 axle in the back) would also make it easier to get aluminum wheels if I ever decide to go that route.

Part # 610-283 at Carquest/Doorman brand.
I think these were identical if I remember correctly.
