powerstroke intercooler install questions

so im planning to install my PS cooler in a few days. since my truck is a 91.0 i have no cooler right now. i have a new turbo with the elbow. i got a 24v intake off of ebay for $1. i dont have the intake yet.

what size piping are you guys running?

is the 24v intake size the same as the turbo elbow?

anyone run a straight cool side pipe with a 45degree coupler on intercooler and a 24v intake? (seems like it would work)

i dont have my intake yet and to minimize downtime id like to order all my connections

OH! and i will be swapping to a intercooled radiator support and radiator

thanks!!!

im in the process of doing the swap. i bought 2nd gen plumbing and a friend has giving me a 24v intake horn. i bought a hump hose and a 45 for the engine side. the problem is the horn has a weird angle so it screws things up. also my piping is a hair to short....
for what it is worth i wouldn't buy your stuff from frozenboost.com
their couplings are to short in my opinion and after i bought i "real" hump hose the difference in quality is significant. Im most likely going to have to buy all new couplers for the added length.... other people will chime in

The problem is getting hump couplers in reducers. I'm going to use exhaust pipe for the tubes and I'm pretty sure they don't make 3.25inch tubing. Where do you recommend I buy from?

Bradshaw is right on the short frozen boost stuff. That is what I am running and they are short. I made my own pipes so the length was not critical.

Sweet thanks. Anyone know if the 24v intake horn is the same size as a intercooled H1C intake elbow? I'd like to order my couplers ASAP

How did you get a lip in the piping to keep the couplers on?

I just took a mig and welded a bead all the way around the pipe. Don't quote me but I believe the stock 1st gen cooled horn is 2.5 inch and all the second gen stuff is 3 inch. SOMEONE ELSE KNOW FOR SURE?????
