Exhaust ???

Ok so I an new to the world of Diesel exhausts. I know in the world of gassers that to bypass the cat you have to fool the computer because of the O2 sensor. Do you have to do anything for our trucks if you get a Turbo back exhuast that gets rid of your cat? I would like a less restrcitive exhaust that makes a little mroe noise but want to know if there is anything else thats needed first.

Im not positive about 06's but on 04 theres no O2 sensors or anything so to save you money id just go ahead and straight pipe it.

is it the same on 05s too. I still got my cat in but gonna rip it out when i get twins, or maybe just go to 5 inch turbo back! The so many options when it comes exhaust. I don't think a diesel Machanic would recommend Striaght pipe thought, I think it is still good to run at least a muffler

I will still run a muffler, but I am looking to ditch the cat and maybe go to a larger diameter pipe that will be less restrictive and have a nice deep tone to it.

Humm... I don't plan on doing and programmer or power adders. I don't race my truck or anything. I just want to add a few after market things and make it a little nicer. I plan on keeping my truck for a LONG time so I am not going to beat the crap out of it.

In that case I'd suggest loosing the cat (no o2 sensors on these trucks) and getting a straight through muffler. Geno's Garage has decent prices on a cat delete pipe last time I looked. As for mufflers you'll get a thousand recomendations. Keep it all 4". If you wanna add a purdy lil tip or something have at it but with your plans there's realy no need to go bigger than the factory 4" piping.
