well my truck has been stolen...

sometime between midnight-5am my truck went missing and called to see if it got towed, which i knew it couldnt of because i have good tags and wasnt parked illegally. i did however call the police and see if they towed it and there was no records of it so it going to be treated as a stolen vehicle. yes i did file a police report and waiting on the insurance company to call me back to figure it all out.. i am just dissapointed cause that truck was my baby and i just hope everything works out.

Thanks for the concern everybody, ill keep everyone updated as soon as I hear anything. And again I do appreciate the support and honestly it hasn't sunk in fully, this feels like a bad dream I just hope I dont find out who did this to me cause im afraid if I were to find out (even though unlikely) I would blackout and beat the brakes off the person.. excuse the ignorance, but its like losing your best friend.. the ole cummins never let me down

I used to run kill switches on my Fords in So Cal. They'd get picked and end up over the border before you new they were gone.

I would look into this, not sure how to do it on a diesel but its probably an ignition wire. Usually, if they can't get it in fifteen to thirty seconds they will go to another vehicle.

I hope you get it back!

On a first gen you'd about have to put a solenoid in the fuel line. It'd fuddle up the rack, but it would kill it in a few seconds. Fuel shut off solenoid can be hot wired in seconds.

Just don't forget to hit the hidden switch before you crank it.

Pretty hard to systematically beat a tow truck, though. Likely that's the MO.

Sorry to hear about the theft of your truck, hopefully as others have said it will be found soon. Just out of curiosity did you have any kind of theft deterrent on your truck? The thieves seem to be getting better at going around the things we put on our trucks to slow them down.....GW
