Ford Ad on a Dodge Website? Are you kidding?

Unless the dog figured out how to get online and buy an eyepad, I'm the only one on my connection. I have a cellular modem through Verizon. When I was having the trouble, it would lock up Firefox, until I shut that tab, and then it came right back to life. Hasn't done it in a while.
My son's ex-wife hasn't paid for internet service for about 10 years that I know of. Finds an unsecured wireless, points her pringles can antenna at it, and steals the service.

Yeah its kind of a bummer to see. We have had ads on the site for a long time because Lary and I had to pay the bills. We tried to keep it so it wasn't overwhelming and strike a balance between free with ads or pay with none. I thought we had done a pretty good job at it. I feel for Lary at the moment because I know he has put so much work into it, just like I did years before. Back in 2001-2007 or so, we were growing like crazy. Even up to 2011 we were growing pretty good although it slowed. Social media plays a part but look at the other forums. They have all kinds of participation. TDR used to be the leader, then us, now someone else. It is what it is I suppose.
I must say though that the headaches of running this place are over for me and I'm glad. Back in the tranny war days and the like, holy crap what a mess that was.

Oh how ironic. In this very thread, right after I posted the above comment, what happens? I get a freakin' Yahoo survey pop-up ad!
Oh wait, I forgot... it's MY computer that's doin' it.

It's a mi-fi 2200, supposed to be able to supp;y internet to 5 computers at once. Works pretty well. Beats the USB cellular modem I had through Sprint, that thing never could get out of it's own way. If I watched more than 2 minutes of video, I had to set a cold pop can or something on it to cool it.

It's a cellular modem with wifi to the computer, needing a code to log into the device. It's a half mile to the nearest neighbor, so I don't think I could manage that one. Or I can use a USB cord to plug the device straight into the computer.

I also have an older Verizon Jet Pack I use in my truck that was running hot and constantly locking up after a few minuets and I cured the problems by downloading the software updates from Verizon, instantly it ran better and cooler.

They owned shares of stock years ago (before Dodge started using their engines) but never anything near a controlling percent of the shares.
Several folks joke about Ford owning Cummings, but not Cummins.

We all know Ford does not now, and has never in the past, owned Cummins.

I said "Ford owns Cummings, Cummins builds engines" on another forum, and got the 9th degree about how Ford does not own Cummins. Well, DUH! I just said that, didn't I?
