03 ford excursion 6.0 issues
Soooooo, hoping someone can help me out.
Wife has an 03, 6.0 powerstroke Excursion, all completely stock, nothing ever aftermarket done to it. We bought it new and knew the issues they would have with adding programmers and such.
Anyways, problem 1, sometimes the engine has boost, sometimes it doesn't, I've been reading on other forums and some folks are saying MAP sensor will cause this, or possibly PCM issues.
Problem 2, overhead display has stopped working, the one that shows MPG, direction, etc
Problem 3, door locks have quick working electronically, with the buttons and remote.
I'm hoping its not all related to an upcoming PCM failure, I've checked all the fuses for everything and all is good, tested with test light, so I know that's not the issue with the overhead and door locks.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, I'm a die hard Cummins guy and own three Dodges, but we we needed a vehicle with LOTS of room and descent fuel mileage, that's the reason for the Excursion, so please don't judge me to hard!!!!! LOL if only Dodge would have built a vehicle comparable to the excursion with a cummins in it I'd been in hog heaven!!!!

Have you seen this about the door locks?

The MAP sensor may need to be cleaned from the gunk buildup. Use sensor safe cleaner. Can be found at auto parts stores.
Any type of indication that the display is on with the overhead? If no characters is displayed I would start with making sure the overhead has power.

There is very little difference between the 03s and 04s. I have the service manual on CD for my 04. If you want a copy PM me your mailing address.
