Are the exhaust housings the same size, 9cm for all 04.5 through early 07 turbos? Some second gen guys are questioning my reasoning in switching out my HX-35 for this turbo.

I know for certain my turbo has the 9cm housing.

Thoughts?

 

As far as I know theyre 9cm with a 60mm compressor.

If you have a turbo with a 9cm housing on your truck its the HY-35 and has a 57mm?? compressor.

 

I am retrofitting an HE 351 off an 06' and putting it on my 99'. You're right, it does have a 60mm compressor and about 60mm exhaust turbine exducer. Just lots of guys think it is going to have much higher drive pressure and thus less HP than my stock HX-35.

Either way I'm going to put it on and try it. Just wondering if they made a bigger housing on the 06 and early 07's with higher HP stock.

 

Somebody has to know something about these HE 351's. I'm also curious as to why there are Holset 1, 2, 3, and maybe 4 molded on the compressor housing of various Holsets from these years.

Is the HP the same for the HO's from 04.5-06 and early 07, or is there different HP/TQ on the various trucks?
