BHAF

All right, my truck's a year old and I'm looking into getting a BHAF or something similar to it. I do NOT want a K&N. I love their products, but believe I've read too much about the oil getting all into spots it shouldn't be. Therefore, no K&N or products like them.

Where can I get a BHAF or a similar product? What do others have? Benefits? Sound? HP?

Thanks in advance.

Toby

Re:BHAF

Here is a link to our FAQ. We have added the cross reference part numbers for the BHAF. You can get the BHAF from just about anywhere that stock the cross reference filter brands.

Re:BHAF

I use the NAPA bhaf, no problems with distortion yet. How many out there are running the filter without a mount? I was going to but decided to build one out of our scrap pile.

Re:BHAF

I'm not using a mount, either, but I did cover the exposed studs that the
stock air box is attached to with short pieces of surgical tubing so they
wouldn't rub holes in the filter. I have the plans for the shield, but haven't
gotten around to that, yet.

Re:BHAF

No mount on mine. I put a piece of 1" thock soft rubber over the bolts sticking out of the fender. The filter just lays on it.

Re:BHAF

Got mine just laying there. I would like to see what ideas you guys have for a heat shield / mount for them. Would it make that much of a difference ?

Funny story ..
I had a buddy ride with me near the end of the air strip here on base. As the turbo began to spool up, he started looking all around trying to see the fighter jet that he thought he was hearing.
Nope, no fighter jet ... just a BHAF !!!
