Good Place For A Leveling Kit
I bought mine from 4 wheelers supply 1 800 606 6421 www.4wheelers.com. It is rancho's leveling kit - it comes with longer control arms and new bump stops around $180.00 I also bought the rs 9000s $80.00 each or so - which i really like. You will need longer shocks on the front for the longer travel or else your stock shocks will bottom out. The truck will sit perfectly level with this kit. I've got 15,000 miles on this set up and it works great a quarter of that milage is on heavy wash board roads and 4 wheeling. For the money I spent I have no complaints........
Kit Install for the Rancho leveling kit
Southernfordman
It took me about 4 hours with the help of a friend to do the install. I took my time to make sure every thing was right. You will need a good floor jack and 4 jack stands, a good breaker bar, some beer, and a good socket set. I think the hardest part was was getting the nuts loose on the top of the shocks to get them out. Make sure you mark where your adjustments are on the bottom of the control arms (for caster I believe) so that when you put it back together with the new control arms - which are a half inch longer to compensate for the lift - your alignment is close if not the same. I took my truck in the next day for an alignment and it hardly needed any adjustment. Make sure you block the rear tires so that the truck does not slide of your jack stands...... You can use your old shock on the front for highway driving but, for of road driving you will need new shocks that have longer travel to compensate for the lift. The stock shocks will bottom out quite easy...
