Westach Combo Gauges?

Trying to decide on Westach EGT/Boost Combo Gauge in a SRT-10 mount and the ISSPRO gauges in console mount. I like the fact that I can keep the grab handle and cubby hole with the Westach but think the console mount might look better. Does the Westach combo look ok and more important do they work as good as the ISSPRO gauges? Also would it be more difficult to keep an eye on the gauges down in the console? Smarty's on its way and I need to order gauges ASAP! Any suggestions?

Here's a pic of the Westach in a Pro-Pod on my truck. Westach is a very good gauge, they make light aircraft gauges. Get the combo that reads 50psi.

Thanks Mike. That looks real slick. I see you have the Smarty. How do you like it, what level are you running and what kind of temperatures are you seeing?

Thumbs up Westach combo gauge.

I've got the exact gauge as MickeyB with the exception of the SRT pillar. Very easy gauge to read and inconspicuous. My neighbor has had the same gauge for eight years now,no problems.

Thanks Danderson! I see you also have the Smarty/Westach combo. How do you like the Smarty, what level are you running and what temps are you seeing.

I've got the Smarty/Westach combo setup too. I've learned a lot by watching that gauge. It's easy to see the connection between boost and EGT with a combo gauge. And it is very responsive. If I had a complaint, it is that the lighting doesn't match the stock gauges. But with the green sock over the LED it's OK.

Stay with the 35 PSI gauge unles you are doing some serious bombing because you want the maximum needle travel for easy reading. I never get more than about 24 PSI.

SJ,
Since you have a 600 get the 50psi gauge, you will easily peg the 35psi version.

Love the SMARTY, with the version I'm running right I'm seeing about 200 degree drop in EGTs compared to stock running on level 5. But also remember my truck is a 555 and not a 600.

Wetspirit,
You need to install a adjustable boost elbow. I'm getting about 33psi with the SMARTY.

Interesting. With the Smarty cranked up and the boost elbow do you smoke less? How about you EGTs? You mentioned 200* less, but under power what are you seeing? Thanks.

Wetspirit,
Thats 200 degrees drop at WOT. I still get some smoke at WOT with the turbo full spooled up, but it's not bad. WOT at low rpms is a different story though....
