Re:WASTEGATE or NONWASTEGATE

I would get the 16 non WG housing that way your EGT's will be lower than the stock 12.
DM01

Re:WASTEGATE or NONWASTEGATE

Danny,
I'd give Piers and call and talk with him or Al. Besure to mention all your fuel and tranny mod's. Different torque convertors really can affect turbo choices. I've got a couple 14cm wastegated that work well but I most of my experience is with manual tranny's. Larry

Danny,

Who do you use for parts? I know there is a place down in Jersey (Caldwell I believe) that has CTD goodies. I prefer to see what I am getting first hand rather than order over the phone. I just got a 16cm2 non WG but it'll have to wait to go in until the wife and new baby get home from the hospital. ;D

Thanks.

John

Re:WASTEGATE or NONWASTEGATE

My $.02-
The 14cm2 housing has a good ballance between spool up and less restriction. Wastegated is probably the way to go (even though more expensive) since peak boost can still be controlled, WG hsgs seem to spool a little better, and EGTs/restriction would be less any time the WG is open.
