I say reseal.
It should start on half to 1 full revolution.
And if stock they are a little combersome of a truck, but still move down the road. If that makes and since?

Can't be sure but it looks like top, in front of the throttle shaft, one of those you can,t get without pulling the pump. I have changed a vp-44 before but really not looking forward to pulling this one.

But is hasn't leaked since the temp has come up,runs good ,and will bump right off in 1/2 second

there basically the same as the vp44 to remove....just make sure you lock the pump at TDC before you remove it....

If it's leaking out of the gov shaft make sure u mark it good so u can put it back in the right spot or it could run away.

A rebuild isn't necessarily any better than resealing yours. And the gov shaft isn't that picky on the adjustment.

When you buy a rebuild they don't necessarily replace hard parts, unless they're worn out. If the head/rotor are in good shape there is really nothing else that wears out. As long as its had clean fuel with no water in it.

yup! the "rebuild" kit only contains the necessary seals to be replaced. should be called a reseal kit. why they call it a rebuild kit, who knows. hard parts will cost you some $$$ too!
