used vehicle warranty companies?
has any one purchased a used vehicle warranty contract after they've bought their vehicle- or does anyone have any good companies in mind that offers no-hassle service and coverage for a 4wd turbo diesel truck? my father is looking to extend the coverage on his 2000. i have found many links on the web- but never heard of any of them and i am confused about which ones are good.

Here's the one that I bought when I bought my truck this past summer.
Daimler Chyrsler Service Contracts, Inc.
Just had some warrenty work done this week. No problems what so ever. I have a $100 deductable (but I didn't even pay that, for some reason...the dealer just asked for $36.45, so I kept my mouth shut and gave it to them!!!)
I would definately find a company that is DC affiliated. Just my $.02.
Good luck,
Hunter

thanks for the info! does your warranty company make you go to a dealership only for your repair work? i ve grown to seriously doubt all of my local dealerships abilities and i would like the ability to go to cummins for engine related problems.

I can't say much for mine. The "fine print" says they won't cover the engine block unless an "internally lubricated part" busts the block (read: thrown rod). So, they did not want to cover my "53" block when it cracked. They also tried to tell me that I modified the truck by putting the 305/70's on it and a 6 inch lift. My truck has only had 305/70's installed, on stock suspension and body. I can't figure out where they figured I put a 6" lift on there. Just idiots I guess.
PM me if you want the name to avoid.
