Whats the ideal turbo upgrade.. Ive already done a denny T and slightly bigger 40+ injectors. I was thinking of a 16 exhaust housing. And ??? not sure on the compressor size to use.

Thanks Johnny

This is a service bed truck... The truck runs really good. Very clean. pressure tested and seals are tight.

I have extra tool boxes on it and drain machines. (fairly heavy load but not too heavy) I'll tow a trailer occasionally. Mostly driving the Interstates Around Nashville Tn. hitting traffic only a few times a week.

I want good acceleration yet optimal Fuel mileage. I like to hear the turbo some. but dont care for a ton of smoke out the back.

I wanted to up my boost to save fuel and add power. The truck is running strong. But i want a clean exhaust and just a little more power. 17mpg now I want to get closer to 20mpg ... the last one i had like this got 21... bonestock. Ill be replacing the exhaust as well.

I will again recommend the he351cw. Works great. I paid 350CAD for a used one, installed a rebuild kit ($100) for piece of mind but don't think it needed it. You will need a different exhaust flange on the downpipe but you can get that with the new exhaust. Currently i am getting 28psi boost with stock pump. You can here the turbo just enough and i have no smoke at all, at any time. Hardest part of install is getting a piece of pipe that will connect the compressor outlet to the IC (if you have one). What year of truck?

I found it in the local ads. Wastegate is tack-welded shut, non-functioning.

You can do that too, i think there is a 60 wheel available though. Do that if you are upgrading wheels. The 351cw will still spool faster and flow exhaust better so less EGT's (it has a 60 comp wheel too).

Here is the 60 you should get if not changing turbos:

http://www.gillettdiesel.com/H1upgra...wheel60mm.aspx

And the exhaust housing you are looking for:

As you can see, you can upgrade to a 351cw for not much more than these two upgrades alone.

The 16 is a nice upgrade. It cut down some of the smoke for me. I can't speak for the 60mm. I'm planning on buying the 6 blade version in a couple of weeks. I think it should help some.
