turbo cutting out

I got a '91 D250 Intercooled.

It seams as though the turbo is cutting out lately after the truck is up to temp. I lose power, but after idling for a bit, it will come back for a few seconds, and then go out again. When I start the truck cold the next day it works fine until fully warmed up. What could be causing this? Is my turbo going bad? What do I need to check? How much does a new turbo cost?
Any ideas? Please help. Thanks.

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem, plugged fuel filter or a lazy lift pump.

I would try a new fuel filter first.

yeah get new fuel filter first. Does it run boggy or just loose power but run smooth? Also check the shaft play on your turbo, if you think thats what it is.
