Truck Still in D1
Truck Still in D1
I ordered my truck on Feb 25. I got a VON the same day and it went to D status two days after. Mar 1 I got a VIN and it went to D1 and has been at that status ever since. They gave me an esitmated ship date of Mar 15. The system still shows the Truck at D1 as of Mar 13 and is still showing the estimated ship date as of Mar 15....Has anyone else ordered and had this experince. This is my first order there aren't alot of 6 spds in Ca so most of us old schoolers have to order.
The two ways I have found are by contacting your saleman...(the easiest and most efficeint) and calling DC direct...but their info isn't as up to date. Go to this page and check out the info its good stuff

I had to literally argue with my salesman....he kept telling me that we'll have to wait and see.
Now, I don't know it all, but working in a manufacturing environment I can tell you that you just need to know who to talk to. Trust me, the factory has ALL sorts of information available.
Salesmen, more so than saleswomen, tend to be fundamentally lazy. They want to do the least (read no) amount of work, for the most amount of pay.
Keep riding your sales-person. Escalate to their manager if need be. But be nice about it. I kept telling mine, that I need to know what's going on so I can plan accordingly. I had to go to the sales GM to get a rail car number. But I got it, and could see it move every 12-24 hrs. Now, it's sitting in the rail yard, waiting to unload, then transfer to a car hauler.
