Buying new mega cab have a ???

I figured I would ask everyone on this forum in hopes that somebody will have the answer. I got rid of my 01 and now getting ready to purchase an 06 Mega Cab 4x4 with a 6 speed. I found one on a local lot here in Arizona but the sticker says it has California emissions. What is extra on that Cal ones as far as the emissions go. Thanks in advance!!!

I beleive it has less power to make up for the emissions? Dont take my word for, but dont buy that truck til you find out the truth! Someone will chime in...

The 2004.5-2006's are not "derated" for California emissions. They are the 325/610 motor. I'm not sure if there is anything different regarding emissions. I don't think there is.

You can check the #'s on the side of the valve cover to be sure.

I'm pretty sure they are all the same now.....and it would be a good time to throw the Jake brake in on the deal. If you install it at the purchase time it will be covered under the 3yr 36K warranty. I've done about a dozen of them now on autos and sticks.

There is no differance. That's how dealers can sell out of state so easily now.

I read somewhere that Ca trucks go through a more rigid check at the factory to make sure everything is in line. But other than that there is no difference.
