truck revving up

I got into my truck this morning to go get the paper and it started revving up on it's own. It ran smooth as sik when I parked it the night before but it was acting goofy with the revving up. I goosed the pedal once and it really shot up. I killed the enging for about 30 seconds and restarted and it hasn't done it since and has ran like it always has. I now have a check engine light on. I am going by the dealers in the morning to get the star scan hooked up on it. Any ideas?

I got the truck back from the dealer and they couldn't find anything. They cleared the code and reset the computer. They wondered if it could be the quad box but I told them it had been on there since the truck was new without a single hiccup. I intend to send the box in for the update.

May be a sticking FCA valve? That is exactly how they act when they stick!

What is the fca valve? This is one of the better dealers that doesn't seem to mind the box. The service manager has know about it all along and hasn't said anything about it. He just overlooks it.

Fuel control actuator. Basically it is a solenoid that controls the amount of fuel to the CP3.
