Tried to Update Smarty Truck Won't Start
I was trying to check the codes in my '99 Dodge and then change from a 4 to a 6 when it aborted the update. Now the truck won't start.
I tried pulling the two ABS fuses and FASS pump fuse with no success.
V1.22B, D2.07A
New FASS HVLP95 pump about a month ago. New batteries.
Now when I try and update it says " A previous update interrupted", Press ">" to return to stock. When I do that it says; "Programming", then ERROR COM TIME OUT.
I have a call into Bob W.
Any suggestions?

WOW!
I got an e-mail from Bob W. tonight and he got me up and running with the following info. I cannot update the ECM, but that can wait until Moday when I can call Bob W, thank him for getting me up and running on a SAT night, and figure out what I did to the Smarty and how to fix it.
Here is the fix.
Disconnect the positives battery terminals and turn the key on. Let the system drain and then reinstall the poitives WITH THE KEY LEFT ON. All should be fine then unless you dont have a wait to start light.
Bob
I did the above and the "Wait to Start" light was flashing. I was able to reload "stock" into the ECM, but not update it with a Smarty program.

In any event, even though my Smarty is WAY out of warranty Bob W. stuck with me, got me up and running (stock ) on a Saturday night, and fixed my problem permentaly Monday morning at 8:00am sharp!!
If I could by Bob W. a beer I would, along with a 2" steak!

Now you can be there for a fellow DTR member when a question is asked on a weekend and late in the day. Then they won't have to ask where all the experts are at.
I don't have a Smarty but I have heard nothing but praise for Bob and Marco. I know one day I will get the Smarty and it is their efforts that will make me confident I made the correct purchase.

After I was able to get the truck running (with Bob W.'s help) I figured out the ECM connector in the truck had a loose wire causing the "error". I fixed the wire and all is well.
The wire had become loose because I had to move the bracket to the connector to make way for my brake controller.
