tranny shudder

hello all truck has been running good until this morning i took off for work and at the end of the road when i came to a stop she started to shudder like the convertor was locked up so i threw her in neutral the back in drive and it was ok til the next stop same thing . i went home and checked the oil tranny was still cold so i drove her to work called my buddy and he said check grounds. well i have removed and cleaned them checked fluid all is well. funny thing if i come to a hard stop it doesnt do it but it shifts funny taking off. if i take it out of od an d down to second coming to a stop its fine. any help would be great also after i put her in neutral at the stop i can then put it in drive with no problems

Is the lock up switch on? Not sure if you had one?

Could it be something bad with the brake switch not releasing when pedal is pushed?

It has to be something connected with the TC lockup. I wonder if you have a bad relay? If I remember correctly, to install the lockup switch you had to remove a trans relay and install a jumper wire. It would be in the power distribution box next to the battery.

Torque converter one way clutch is not releasing, perhaps. (OK, I cheated on this - was picking up my trans from McMopar right after he talked to Dave and he was telling me about it). After the relay was unplugged and it still kept doing it kinda narrowed it down a ways.
