Toyo, Nitto, BFG, tire wear vs psi and mph.
Ok I see some ppl get 50k miles out of one of the brands, and others get 15k miles. I wonder if we can post the brand, the miles, the psi, and your average type of driving. Stop and go? Highway, and average mph.
So I have the Toyo A/T 285/75/17E I keep the fronts at around 70psi and the rears around 55 psi. I average about 65 mph on the highway and do 50/50 highway/city. So far my wear is not very good, about 50% gone at around 10k miles.
I am wondering if maybe I am useing to much psi, or maybe its the city traffic, or the highway speed is causeing the wear. So I figure maybe we can collect some data from the guys with alot of miles and some from the guys with low miles on the tires. I would like to get 30-40k out of my tires, maybe we can get some info to help each other.

I have over 55k on my current set of 35X12.50R17 BFG M/T's. Run them at 55psi and do a mix of city/highway driving. Don't speed around or do burnouts, too expensive to replace parts, tires, and fuel. Need a new set and seriously considering the Toyo M/T's.

I'm running 50psi front and 45psi rear with the Toyo AT's. Little over 10k and doing good. Should be able to get at least 40k. Most of my driving is in town, stop and go traffic.

My BFG 285's have about 15,000 on them and they're probably 65%. I keep them at 65psi front and 55psi back. I have noticed the fronts get chewed up a bit if they're not rotated every 3000 miles. I'd never put a set of m/t's on my truck just because I don't think they'd last like they do on some others trucks.

Toyo MT's 55 in front and 50 in the rear, I tow mostly and have over 30,000 on mine. Wear is great, rotate every 6000, I wouldn't buy any other tire. You get what you pay for.

I just replaced my BFG's TA's @ 25,000 miles on the nose. I probably had maybe another 5000 left, but the passenger rear did a complete blowout @70mph on the freeway. The whole tread flew off leaving me with two sidewalls and a ruined wheel. I had a 100% replacement warranty so I got one tire free, but I bought the other three.
The tire shop looked at the other three and saw a series of cracks running around the wheel and sidewall where the tread meets. They said they were suffering from dryrot, that is why I bought a new set. Only 4 years old.

BFG A/T 315/70/17 D rated on a 17x9 inch rim.
33K right now, looks like I have another 20-25K in them or more if I stretch it, would be nice to get 60K out of these.
47psi front and 37psi rear. Wearing even.
50/50 mix. Not afraid to spin them every once in a while around town and I usually drive this thing like a sports car . Freeway 70-85mph, usually around 80, and again not afraid to drive it like a sports car.
Wish they made this tire in an E rated.

I'm still on my stock BFG Rugged Trails at 65K miles. Mostly highway, 70 psi front and 60 psi rear.
I think I can get a least another 10K to 15K out of these tires. They've treated me well.

Just replaced my TOYO m/t's 35x12.50x17's @ 44k. Still had maybe 5k left, but not for here in the winter. Ran 42 psi front 38psi rears. 75% blacktop/25%dirt and rocks. Went with 37x13.50x17's for new ones. Oh yeah I also siped the tires for snow and ice and rotated 3 times. Gotta love them Toyo's.

I have Pirelli's I run them at 70 front and rear and pump them up to 78 when I tow my trailer. I normally run 70 mph mostly hiway (90/10). They probably need to be replaced any minute now, they are not down to the wear bars yet, but I've got close to 80k on them.
