The warranty on the drivetrain will likely be voided....but maybe not, depending on which dealership you go to for service.

I know....but they're kind of stupid. Actually, you might be okay since you're just changing the TC. You could find out pretty easy by asking the service manager at the dealership you use.

Magnusson Ross....but I'm not sure if that's spelled right. Basically, if there was a problem they'd have to prove that it was your TC that caused the problem in order to void your warranty.

I would suggest that you read the warranty booklet. Especially pages 12 and 13. I would not expect Dodge to warrant anything that they did not build and install. Nor would I expect them to cover damages caused by non Dodge parts.

They could easily not perform warranty work on your tranny. Dodge didn't build and warranty the 48re to run with ATS parts, they built and warrantied it for Dodge parts. Besides, with that other stuff in your sig your gonna do your all ready gonna be your own warranty station for you powertrain.

Re:torque converter change = no more warranty?
I may be wrong, but if you read what ATS has to say on their web page they claim that Dodge is offering the trpl/loc tc as an opt. w/ the HO & 48re. I think I would approach the dealer about Installing the ats tc for you. Just my thoughts on the subject.
