Have you tried swapping the body for something a little more aerodynamically slippery than an average brick?

3200 gs

puffmagicdiesel.

go with a governor spring. it will allow you to get to a higher rpm with out the pump de-fueling on ya. you can go to PDR and get one. give them a callhttp://www.piersdiesel.com/

Back the high idle screw out and reset your linkage to get a full throw on the throttle shaft.

Just turn your high goverenor screw up. I took my 1990 with 4.10s to 95 mph before. You will see it is the screw that stops the movement of the thorttle arm. You can pretty much take the screw out and bend your accelerator pedal to get all the travel you can. You will also like how it just keeps pulling hard in all the other gears.

Gov. spring and messing with the throttle linkage will do it for sure. if your truck is totally stock and doing 90 it will for sure do 100 with just messing with the throttle linkage, but the GS is a good upgrade. If your spedometer is accurate, 100mph should get your jolly's off in a gen one, they dont feel to stable at faster speeds. I have towed my 5000# trailer at 100 and it did fine, but one slip and it would be all over for the truck, trailer, and possible me. I also notice that my egt's get very high even though i am not at full throttle once i get above 95, i do think it is a lot of load on the motor with the wonderful areodynamics of the truck.

speedo pegged

well i gan get mine to 100 mph, and keep it there. the only thing is she starts to get warm. and like Mr. Plaine said the EGT's get a lil hot . i have idle adjustments, starwheel, afc , and full fuel setting all tweaked on mine, but what got me my top speed was like i posted before the Governor Spring, and then total re-adjustments with my throttle link.

I agree, I've done 85mph in mine and that was scary enough, its like driving a tractor at that speed .

But I'd do what these guys are suggesting, governor spring, playing with the linkage etc.

I agree...I too am going to take all the advice given to me so far as funds allow...but that is for surprising a few unsuspecting DMax/Pwrstrks off the line!

A little over 100 but I still had pedal left. EGT's were steady @1025, boost @ 21#, but water temp went to the middle of the gauge(it never goes that high normanaly). I slowed down as I saw my guardian angel falling behind

Before the bombs my top speed was 90 down a steep hill.after the spring I got to 110 and got scared, but not that it handled bad. it was handling real well. now with the turbo and injectors 110 is real easy.

I can hit 100 mph without any problems, but since it is a real truck and not made for speed I don't want to push my luck past 100.

Lots of fuel! 130+mph. Safety is really an issue, however. 55 was fast enough for me.
