Will they rub??
OK, originally i was just going to lift the truck (6" bds + 3" body) and leave my 35" bfg's on there BUTTT, now i had something thrown at me that was a gift.. I got hummer h2 wheels for free! and i know the backspacing allows for a little bit more room for the tires compared to the stockers.. Now my question is with a 6" suspension and 3" body will i be able to run the 40" goodyear MTR's on the hummer h2 wheels without rubbing? i am getting the long arm kit BDS lift if that helps...
4 days untill its goin in the shop i need to let the man know ASAP!

There are also alot better tires then the MTR. There's now tires that are rated for use on out heavy trucks and can still get deacent life out of them. MTR dont do well with the weight of diesel trucks.
I personally would run 20" - 22" rims and a 38" or 40" Toyo Open Country MT.
That would look and ride really nice. I think a 40" MTR on a 17" H2 rim would suck to drive everyday and would handle and wear like crap. It also looks funny IMHO.
If your gonna run 40's do it like this
If you like that there's more im my gallary. Its not mine though so all I know is the tire size. Not many of us run MTR's since they ware like chit and would also handle like chit in 40" on 17" rim

My best guess is you will be real close...till you twist the truck up real bad. Go for it. There is nothing wrong with a 13.5 tire on a 8.5 rim...just run the right pressure. Try 45 front and 40 rear as a starting point..and watch how flat the tire wears....

remember theres probably atleast 4k lbs on the nose of your truck... thas 2k+ per tire.. if your tires rated @ just over 3k@65 psi you loose almost 1k lbs by droping 10 psi if i remember the formula corectly...
