how to tell which 16" 8" stock aluminum alloy wheels are the ones that crack?
My 2002 that I bought on March 6th came with 3rd Gen 17" x 8" alloy wheels. I want to pick up some 2nd Gen 16" x 8" alloy wheels because tires are cheaper and selection is greater.
I'm aware that there were some cracking issues with the 2nd Gen alloys. I've also heard there is a list of part numbers and dates to avoid so that you know you're getting wheels that won't crack. Does anybody know of such a list and where I can find it? I'm looking at some wheels tomorrow.
Thanks.
