i get a bunch of my stuff here, http://www.griotsgarage.com/index.jsp
also this stuff is good, http://www.meguiars.com/?pro-cleaner.../Swirl-Remover
then a bunch of work. I have a couple different, well 3 different buffers to help make the work easier.

I just clay bared mine and it made a big differance. My 06 is also black.Of course it's raining out now.No pictures.I used Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit and followed it up with the discontinued Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #16.Alot of work but worth it.Paint is smooth now.I got this off Meguiar's website: Does clay remove scratches and swirls?
No, clay does not remove scratches and swirls. Keep in mind, scratches, swirls, oxidation and stains are all imperfections that are below the surface and require a specialized paint cleaner such as ScratchX or Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner. Clay, on the other hand, is designed specifically for above surface bonded contaminants, such as tree sap mist, industrial fallout, over-spray and road tar. It is important to evaluate your surface to determine which method of imperfection correction your paint may require. In some cases your vehicle may require the use of both clay and paint cleaners for optimal results.

Porter Cable 7424, Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover, followed by Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish, followed by a couple of coats of NXT Generation Tech Wax, spread over a couple of days, and top it off with Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Wax.
The paint will look like you can stick your arm into it..

3M Makes a good Pink Fill and glaze.. Wipe it on let it dry and wipe it off.. Fills the swirls and puts a nice swirl free shine on the truck..
It is their professional stuff so you will need to go to a auto paint store for it..

Black truck here also...........Ive used the meguires swirl and scratch remover also, but I used a traditional rotary buffer (big wooly pad)......left muncho swirl marks. I think I should have used a orbital buffer--the kind that vibrates while spinning. I never finished the truck never the less !!! I cant stand too look it either after I wash it. one side has south texas pinstripe and the other is swirl-a rooooooooooo

Well the one thing I have learned so far for the sites suggested is to clay bar the truck BEFORE tring to remove swirl marks. The reasoning behind it is to remove what the elements have left behind. Not doing so means you are just grinding the paint with all sorts of crud. Ill be making a trip to auto zone tonight for the clay bar kit.

Hello, My buddy has an auto body shop and he swears by the 3m perfect it 3000 swirl remover followed by glaze and then by wax. The wooly pad is too abrasive you need to use a blue foam one that 3m sells. Saw a black car he detailed and it looked like a mirror. He uses a rotary makita. I will be getting one to use on my truck. Do a search on 3m products and I am sure you can find lots of places that sell it.Good luck,Steve.
