Most anti-gel stuff needs to be mixed with diesel to work. Like pure antifreeze, it will freeze without water.

I use to work for a fuel and oil distributor and we had to keep the additive above a certian temp in the winter or it would gel. Most anti-gels like PS or stanadyne all gel before diesel fuel gels, but mix it in the fuel and it doesn't. I thought they were kidding me but the first time i saw 500 gallons of PS gel made me believe. I think on the back of the stanadyne bottle it even says to store above a certian temp.

Warm it up in the cab of the truck and use it. It may sound odd that an anti-gel treatment can gel, but it works good once its added to the fuel. Chemistry you know.
