Surging with new injectors??
Installed my new injectors yesterday, 150hp units... took him out for a test run and have quit a bit of surging, so i turned off the adr. and still have it. Long slow climb hill so i was gettin on it pretty good, have good power, 55psi boost but could feel a surge during the whole run, idles fine, they do smoke alot more than my 275's, any idea what this might be, these were brand new sticks. I maintain 10psi fuel with a holley blue pump. Thanks

Ok the surging seems to be going away a little, could there have been some air in the lines or sticks? Got about 75 miles on them and seem to be doing better! I'll keep ya posted...

What rpm is the truck surging at? I found that at low rpms (under 1700 rpm's), the bigger sticks seem to surge/pulseate (not enough a word) more than the stock sticks. It got worse in 4X4 mode. At the higher boost levels are you clearing the smoke up? 150's aren't that big, I drove mach 6's for three years, they smoke when I want to but still very driveable. I don't know how BD tunes up their twins. They wouldn't give me a set to tryout.Enjoy the ride buddy, and be gentle to the new trucks.

Went for another drive last night again with the smarty on 8 and the adr off.. still have the surge, and it only seems to do it with a load on it, like pulling a hill and gettin on it at the same time.. and i mean it was real noticable last night, with the adr on i cant tell..the darn thing spools so fast and i'm shifting gears right now..so any ideas? I've ridden in other trucks with bigger sticks and there was nothing like this!! As for cleaning up, yea it smokes black if i short shift it, but then greys out pretty fast and isnt to bad after the twins have spooled up... i've also got the H2o turned off..so not forsure what this is.. i had no issues with the 275's i just took out?? thanks for any info...
