stuck shutoff lever
stuck shutoff lever
Has anyone witnessed a stuck shutoff lever.
its not stuck do to corrosion it feels like theres something internal preventing it from moving.
my dad bought a 91 and we were trying to hook up a pull cable and found out it was stuck. truck runs fine.

well after 2days of this it quit running tonight.
before the lever just wouldnt shut the engine down now it wouldnt move at all.
we pulled the pump, then the pump head to find out the control collar was welded to the plunger from friction. The plunger is blue around the collar from heat buildup.
im guessing it was sticking before and it finally stuck. how it was running i have no clue. dont know what kind of fuel the guy had in the tank but the pump didnt like it.
