Speedometer verses RPM...
Hi ppl..
I need some info..
what I need to know from someone with a comparable truck is the exact rpm your truck is showing at 62MPH or 100km.
I have a 1997 3500 Dually with 12V cummins..5 speed with 3.54 rear axle ratio.
Lately my speedometer seems to be out of wack..maybe its just me....
4th gear @ 2000 rpm = 100km/hr
5th gear @ 1750 rpm = 100km/hr
Tach is correst...
is this close or out in left field..?
thanks for any info..

That sounds pretty close...if noone replys before tomorow when I drive again I`ll make a few notes on what mine is doing. What do you need a speedometer for? I haven`t had one for years and never got a speeding ticket, fixed it about 2 months ago and i have gotten 3 tickets since.
